Awie has 18 years of experience in the healthcare and
pharmaceutical industry and two years as a licensed life and health
insurance professional. She is currently an Agent at Lincoln Heritage
Life Insurance Company. Areas of expertise include: Life Insurance,
Final Expense and Individual & Family Health Benefits.
Awie’s most recent position was an Associate Director of Pharmacovigilance at Pharmaceutical Product Development, where she had direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of multiple programs and managed a global team of 25 staff members. Having provided direct bedside care to post-operative cardiac patients and working with patients, physicians and regulators in the drug development process, she has a unique understanding of how illness and disease negatively impact the quality of life of affected individuals. Awie also understands the challenges individuals face with qualifying for life insurance in the face of past or present medical conditions. Awie’s passion is to educate the community about the importance of life insurance as a
financial tool, and available life insurance options for most individuals, so that they will obtain the coverage they need no matter what medical problems they face throughout their life.
Awie currently resides in Clayton, North Carolina with her husband and two daughters D’Rheanna and A’Rheanna. Reading, cooking and walks on the beach are some of her favorite past times.
