Melissa Palmer, Audiologist – High Point Audiological-Clayton:
Melissa Palmer has been practicing audiology for 21 years. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Audiology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is currently attending Arizona School of Health Sciences at A.T Still University for her Doctor of Audiology degree, which she is scheduled to complete in May 2018.
Melissa opened High Point Audiological-Clayton in May 2016. She has many years of experience in diagnostic audiology, hearing aid fittings, and auditory processing evaluations. She is certified in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy for those who suffer from “ringing in the ears”. Melissa is also certified in occupational hearing conservation and has experience performing hearing assessments for industry employees, as well as military soldiers who are exposed to excessive noise levels. As a trained educator for the Dangerous Decibels Program she also enjoys teaching school-age children about protecting their hearing.
Melissa has a strong commitment to helping others. For the last five years, she has traveled to Nicaragua for Mission Work to help children and adults hear better! She is also an active volunteer for the St. Ann-Food Pantry and St. Ann Medical Clinic.
